Office Support Responsibilities:
As a Mailroom Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for a variety of essential operational tasks. This includes operating high-volume duplicating and document imaging equipment, performing all associated copying tasks, and utilizing document image handling software. You'll also manage high-volume mail systems, which involves sorting, distributing, and applying postage for incoming and outgoing mail and faxes. A key part of your role will be generating reports for digital printing, imaging, and mail systems, as well as handling shipping and receiving of products and supplies. You'll ensure the proper functioning of office equipment by maintaining convenience copiers, clearing paper jams, and coordinating service calls. Additionally, you'll be tasked with maintaining records for management reports and inventorying supplies, distributing office supplies, faxes, and mail, and calculating charges for jobs. Your responsibilities extend to delivering completed jobs to customer locations, maintaining daily meter and service logs, and answering customer questions. Finally, you'll also perform various building support functions such as setting up meeting and conference rooms, potentially assisting with occupant moves, light maintenance, and occasional cleaning.
Office Support Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
1-2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Some related copy job experience is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Strong customer service background in an office environment.
Experience with mail and reception is required.
Records management experience is a plus.
Good PC skills.
Good organizational skills and and ability to prioritize.
Mathematical and filing skills.
Ability to use office machines and technical equipment.
