Job Details for 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead:
Schedule: 3pm-11pm 2nd Shift Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $24-$25HR
Job Responsibilities & Description for 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead:
- Reviews shipping schedule with Warehouse Supervisor and discuss planned shipping operations for their respective shift, by following priorities and sequences set forth by the Warehouse Supervisor for products to be delivered.
- Inspects Forklift / Pallet jack equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Recognize and reports defective Forklift / pallet jack problems to the Warehouse Supervisor or Sr. Operations Manager, through initiation of a Maintenance Request Form.
- Recognize and report on unsafe working conditions to Safety Specialist.
- Develops or revises daily operations and working practices to ensure optimum utilization of time, manpower, and warehouse space.
- Communicates daily shipping needs to Forklift / Order Selectors for the shift in a manner that promotes “Teamwork” and a “Safe” working environment.
- Report on any worker issues or unsettled issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and Sr. Operations Manager for action.
- Ensuring proper procedures are used for entering shipping data.
- Maintains quality assurance by recognizing proper shipping guidelines. (Example: Product rotation, inspect bags or cases for damage, Pick Pallet Sheets are signed for Quality, Labels applied when needed, packaging, cartons and pallets are to customer specification.)
- Recognize defective materials/products through Quality inspections and report the issues.
- Work areas keep clean, safe and orderly.
- Reviews inventory levels and assists with cycle counting of product when inventory numbers are off.
- Audits picked pallets to ensure correct quantities.
- All employees are responsible for reporting food safety issues to those who can initiate corrective actions.
- Other duties may be assigned.
