PeopleShare is hiring a detail-oriented Accountant I to support a fast-paced finance and admin team in Norfolk’s vibrant Waterside District! This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working collaboratively across departments.

What You’ll Do:
Process and verify vendor invoices and expense reports
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Manage AR/AP and financial records in QuickBooks Online
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Prepare audit documentation and support audit processes
Provide support for gift shop accounting (sales, COGS, expenses)
Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial problem-solving
QuickBooks experience preferred (or willingness to learn)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
