Production Manager Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Subject to change)
- Pay Rate: $115K - $125K
Production Manager Job Description:
- Assign tasks and manage employee schedules
- Facilitate the training of new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback
- Develop, update, and refine work instructions with support from Leads and incorporate work instructions into training programs for skill development.
- Conduct performance evaluations with support from Department and Area Leads.
- Monitor production lines to ensure quality standards and Takt time are met
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with standardized work, following the defined individual tasks and sequence
- Identify and address production bottlenecks or delays
- Implement and sustain continuous initiatives, including 5S
- Work within the department to develop next generation of Area and Department Leads
- Participate in Leadership Training sessions
- Investigate and resolve quality issues
- Ensure adherence to company quality standards
- Initiate and implement Corrective Actions based on feedback from Quality and other downstream operations
- Enforce safety procedures and regulations
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs
- Generate production reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
Production Manager Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong Critical Thinking skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 5- 10 years of Managerial experience in a Manufacturing environment Preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and operations
