PeopleShare is seeking an Audio-Video Installation Technician to work for a regional technology integration company that specializes in commercial installations at locations including hospitals, schools, and military bases. In this direct hire role, you’ll be responsible for the complete installation and troubleshooting of AV systems, ranging from small rooms to full-building integrations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, professional setting.
Audio Visual Technician Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Pay Rate: Up to $35/hr, based on experience
Audio Visual Technician Job Description:
Installing/troubleshooting commercial AV systems: Flat Panels, Projectors, Structured Cabling, Audio Systems (25/70-Volt), Video Distribution, IP Encoders, Control Systems, DSP, Building Racks, Lacing Wires, Cabling Rough-in
Reading and working from technical plans; familiarity with construction techniques
Working with and maintaining industry tools and adhering to safety protocols
Using computer/networking knowledge to support integrated systems
Representing the company with a professional, client-ready demeanor
Collaborating with and mentoring other team members on projects
Audio Visual Technician Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of AV installation experience in commercial environments
Experience or certifications with AVIXA/Infocomm CTS, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Legrand AV preferred
Background in structured cabling, security/surveillance is a plus
Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and be eligible to pass a standard background check and obtain DCJS licensing
Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools
