Job Details for Foundry Supervisor:
- Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm
- Pay Rate: $65000 to $75000 a year
Job Responsibilities & Description for Foundry Supervisor:
- Supervise daily production activities and adjust schedules based on operational and customer needs
- Manage and modify hourly employee schedules as needed
- Plan, assign, and oversee shift team responsibilities
- Facilitate smooth production flow through transaction management and documentation
- Maintain shift operations in accordance with safety, quality, and customer requirements
- Lead efforts to achieve goals in production output, quality, scrap reduction, and safety
- Recommend and support process improvements for cost efficiency and productivity
- Execute directives from the VP of Operations in a timely and professional manner
- Track and ensure compliance with key performance metrics: safety, delivery, quality, inventory, and financial targets
- Foster cross-functional coordination between shifts, departments, and external partners
- Maintain an open-door policy and promote a positive team culture
- Conduct performance reviews and manage employee recognition, discipline, and development
- Handle employee concerns and implement corrective actions as needed
- Uphold company policies and standards in alignment with our mission and values
- Interview, onboard, and train second shift team members
- Promote safety through observation, coaching, and compliance audits
- Ensure all safety and environmental regulations are followed
- Demonstrate reliability, consistent attendance, and a strong commitment to the role
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements for Foundry Supervisor:
- Solid understanding of metal casting processes
- Knowledge of production methods, raw materials, quality control, and manufacturing efficiency techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and develop a team
- Proficiency in using standard computer applications (spreadsheets, databases, word processing)
- Effective communicator—both verbal and written—with strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with business management principles, including resource planning and team coordination
- Ability to critically analyze and solve problems using logic and reasoning
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and the overall production process
- Commitment to active listening and adaptive communication
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and collaborate across departments
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- English fluency required; ASL or Braille also accepted for communication
