Forklift Operator Job Details:
- Position: Stand-Up Forklift Operator
- Pay: Competitive pay at $21 per hour
- Available Schedules:
- Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
- Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Location: Romeoville, IL 60446
- Overtime: May be required week to week based on business needs.
What You'll Be Doing as a Forklift Operator:
As a Stand-Up Forklift Operator, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring products move efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating state-of-the-art material handling equipment, specifically stand-up forklifts, to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise with precision.
- Performing essential receiving and put-away duties, including safely unloading inbound shipments and efficiently storing products in designated areas.
- Executing accurate order picking, pulling, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring everything is ready for delivery.
- Utilizing RF equipment to maintain impeccable inventory control and security, keeping our records flawless.
- Assisting with physical inventories and conducting cycle counts as requested, contributing to overall inventory accuracy.
- Strictly adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and promptly reporting any food safety or quality issues to maintain our high standards.
What You'll Bring as a Forklift Operator:
We're looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong work ethic. To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 6 months of recent experience operating a stand-up forklift in cold storage or refrigerated/frozen conditions. This experience is crucial!
- The ability to skillfully put away and pull pallets and loose products from tight racking with confidence and accuracy.
- The capability to work comfortably in cold, refrigerated, and frozen conditions for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work standing, walking, bending, and squatting as needed.
