Paralegal Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
- Pay Rate: $50k-$60k
Paralegal Job Description:
Legal Document Preparation: Draft and format pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and memorandums
Case & Document Management: Organize case files, maintain electronic records, and manage document storage and e-discovery
Research & Analysis: Review loan files, title reports, surveys, and conduct genealogical and asset investigations
Court Filings & Process Management: File documents, assist with summons and writs, and ensure timely service of process
Discovery & Trial Prep: Summarize depositions, organize discovery documents, and create trial notebooks
Client & Court Communication: Maintain professional correspondence with clients and court personnel
Administrative & Billing: Track deadlines, update attorneys, record billable hours, and meet firm billing goals
Paralegal Job Requirements:
Education & Experience: Associate degree required; paralegal certification (ABA-approved) is a plus. Minimum 5 years of litigation experience
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe, and Nuance. Experience with case management software preferred
Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with Federal and State Court filings (PACER, ECF, VJEFS, OCRA) and civil procedure rules. Experience with reviewing land instruments and post-judgment collections is beneficial
Soft Skills: Strong writing, grammar, multitasking, and deadline management. Excellent attitude and team-oriented mindset
