Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Team Lead to oversee finishing operations in our powder coating department. This role involves preparing, coating, and inspecting metal parts to ensure they meet quality and durability standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: Sand, degrease, and clean metal parts before coating.
Powder Application: Operate industrial spray guns to apply powder coatings evenly.
Curing Process: Monitor and operate high-temperature ovens to ensure proper curing.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and adherence to specifications.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor team members to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
Material Handling: Load and unload parts onto racks for processing.
Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized production floor.
Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE, including respirators.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial coating environment.
Previous leadership experience in a production or assembly setting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (50+ lbs), and work in high-temperature environments (90°F+).
Comfortable working with industrial coatings, chemicals, and finishing materials.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment:
Exposure to dust, fumes, and industrial chemicals in a regulated manufacturing setting.
Requires working at heights and in outdoor conditions when necessary.
